Загадочный xorg

После того как установил xorg, сделал X -configure. Полученный конфиг был кривой. Запускалось все со срывом синхронизации на ЖК мониторе. Запустил утилиту videoconfig из ZenWalk и она настроила все самым чудесным образом. Но videoconfig выставил частоту обновления 75 Гц, а я хочу выставить 60 Гц. Менял значения, потом вообще закоментиировал HorizSync и VertRefresh в секции Monitor. Все работает, как было так и осталось 75 Гц.
Как вручную менять частоту??? Автоматика не выход, я хочу знать как можно вручную настроить (так спокойней :) ). Да и как принудительно переключать разрешение экрана? Тоже непонял…
